Out of Context. A podcast about volunteering in Denmark

Hi! My name is Natalia. I am 24 years old and I participated in European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program from September 2021 to September 2022. I spent a year in beautiful Copenhagen volunteering at AFS Office working with national volunteers and exchange students.

What is the position about?

The role has two main areas of responsibility.

  1. Being part of the Program Team.

2.

Being part of POK. Planlægning og Koordinering aka volunteer committee which is in charge of planning and implementing of camps for AFS.

  • Going to camps.

  • Attending Tuesday’s meetings.

My solidarity project.

At the office, we usually have 2 ESC volunteers. This year it was Mahmoud (Egypt) and me. As we became friends, we would always have long conversations about our experiences in Denmark. So, I thought it would be a great idea to let other people know about it…That’s how Out of Context was born.
