Who am I?
My name is Margarida, I am 25 years old and I am originally from Portugal. I started my ESC volunteering project at AFS Denmark in Copenhagen in August 2022.
I joined the Erasmus Bubble when I was 18 by taking part in my first Erasmus Youth Exchange and, after that, I never stopped! I had the chance to take part in other Youth Exchanges and Training Courses around Europe, to study abroad, to carry out internships thought Erasmus+ programme and to take part in Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. This last experience gave the the skills to start my own youth organisation back in my home country – the Youth Cluster.
I am passionate about the way Erasmus has so many opportunities to allow us, young people, to see the world, connect with other youngsters and find our vocation. And, for that reason I have been promoting the opportunities that existe and are financed by the EU by writing articles, organising workshops and events.
My solidarity project
Being in Denmark inspired me to promote opportunities among other ESC volunteers who might not be sure about their next steps after they finish their ESC.
Within my project I am sending postcards to help other young people to find opportunities to volunteer, study, work and travel through European programmes.
