Aleksandra’s Project

My name is Aleksandra, I am 28 years old, and from a city called Ekaterinburg.
It was my huge dream to participate in EVS and now it is ESC projects, I have been applying to several opportunities for 1.5 years, and now I see why it took me for so long, because when I earned this chance to be a part of AFS and my project was as DTU – Technical University of Denmark, I realized that we clicked so well and it was the best place for me.
I was also truly lucky that my colleague was wonderful Uul-Ai, also a participant in ESC, I have learned a lot from her. We worked for a project – Student’s Culture Hub and organized events for students where they could feel themselves and do as they do, enjoy the diversity and variety of cultures in a conscious way and combat loneliness if they felt so.

We organized different events from cultural ones and read about them at Uul-Ai’s page to fun events. For example, below is a pic of Plants Swap! We wanted to provide a plant pet to students so that they could care about something and feel fulfilment and happiness.

My final message

Dream big, I still can’t believe that I made it and lived in Copenhagen for 1 year!
Be patient, everything takes time.
Be open-minded but remember your own values too.
Be kind, in this world there are so many devil things, but we can resist them.
Enjoy every second.
